I decided to run off some stress today. As some know, I'm working with a Career Transition Coach, and each week we have a roundtable talk with clients concerning a topic of career transition and networking. Today, we instead heard a screed from a health insurance professional giving absolute misinformation on the recent health care insurance reforms.
Being upset with the malarkey, I decided to run a quick 3-miler from home at around 10:30 a.m. It was cloudy and had just finished raining, so the temp was a nice 67 degrees -- but the humidity was in the 90s!
It was fun doing an unannounced/unplanned run, and I decided to see if I could pick up the pace a little. I selected a bluegrass tune to get the tempo up for me. Had a nice run, and reduced the stress!
Ol' Corn Likker, The Carolina Chocolate Drops
Let It Alone, Old Crow Medicine Show
No One Knows My Name, Gillian Welch
2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten, Lucinda Williams
Shakedown on 9th Street, Ryan Adams
Green and Gray, Nickel Creek
Sodom, South Georgia, Iron & Wine
The Late Greats, Wilco
3 miles from home, 25:10, 8:23 pace, 67 degrees
Man you are fast! I wish I could run like that.
